Event: Many 404 Responses

This event is generated if 10 or more requests result in status code 404 within 1 minute.

Possible reasons:

• bad links inside or outside the application
• forceful browsing, especially if all requests come from the same IP address
• misconfiguration of content rewriting in Airlock

During analysis, first check why the 404 responses occur: which files cannot be found, and why. Maybe users of the application klick on  broken links. Airlock's URL encryption feature is an effective way to protect your application against forceful browsing.

This event can be customized in frequency and number of log messages it is based on.
