Airlock’s HTTP request and response handling can be extended by writing custom filters. Those filters inspect, filter and modify HTTP requests. They are connected to Airlock through the standard protocol ICAP (Internet Content Adaptation Protocol). With the Airlock ICAP SDK, Ergon developed a toolbox for quick and easy development of such filters. Implementing a filter with the Airlock ICAP SDK provides maximal flexibility when it comes to performing complex and programmatic operations on HTTP requests or responses.
The Airlock ICAP SDK is based on the Java programming language, and is best used within the Eclipse development environment. An Airlock installation licensed for ICAP filter extensions is required to operate the filters implemented with the ICAP SDK. The download package includes documentation as well as several sample filter implementations.
