Versioning Scheme

Support Services

Support cases: Supported releases are covered by our Support Process. That is, customers and partners may open support cases for these versions and our support team will investigate these issues. For versions out of support, we will remind customers to upgrade.

Maintenance and bugfix releases: Supported versions are covered by maintenance or bugfix releases. It is upon the discretion of Ergon to decide which bugs are backported to which releases.

Hotfixes: Critical security and availability issues for Airlock Gateway are fixed timely for each of the most current minor/major versions. It is upon the discretion of Ergon to decide which issues receive a hotfix. 

  • For Airlock Gateway, hotfixes are provided for the most recent maintenance release of supported minor versions
  • For Airlock Microgateway, see online documentation.

Example: Hotfix HF-0032 for Airlock Gateway was released in March 2021 and made available for versions 7.5.1, 7.4.1, and 7.3.3, as these were the most recent maintenance releases for each of the supported LTS minor releases (7.5, 7.4, and 7.3) back then. A customer on version 7.3.1 had to upgrade to 7.3.3 first in order to apply the hotfix.

Customers should always update their installations to the newest maintenance and minor releases in order to profit from hotfixes and support continually.

Artifacts: We might provide additional artifacts which can be used in conjunction with our products. Examples: Reporting bundle, Helm charts, documentation, examples, tutorials, libraries. Generally, these artifacts are only maintained for the most recent version. Nevertheless, it is upon the discretion of Ergon to decide which artifacts are also maintained for older versions.

Extended Support: Ergon offers the possibility to extend the support services beyond the end-of-support date. Airlock IAM can be extended by a maximum of 12 months and Airlock Gateway by a maximum of 6 months. This service is subject to an additional charge. Airlock Gateway - End of Support Dates

Airlock Gateway LTS (long-term support) releases are usually supported for at least one year after the publication of the next LTS release.

Airlock IAM - End of Support Dates

Airlock IAM LTS (long-term support) releases are usually supported for 21 months after publication.
