SSH key-based authentication for Airlock WAF

Affects product:
Airlock WAF

Automating tasks with Airlock WAF often requires configurating a non-interactive/password-less access to the system. If access to the shell of Airlock WAF is required we recommend to configure SSH key-based authentication:

  • copy your SSH public key into the file /root/.ssh/authorized_keys on your Airlock WAF
  • a key size of at least 2048 bits is recommended for RSA

You should now be able to use SSH to login into the system with user 'root' without entering a password.

Note that this modification is update resistant but not part of the Airlock WAF configuration and must be applied after every full installation of an Airlock WAF system.
