SSL VPN applet quits unexpectedly

Symptom: If running the Airlock SSL VPN applet (older than version 2.2.1) on a client with Java version 1.6-10-b33 or newer, it may exit exactly after 1 minute.

It is strongly recommended that all customers using the SSL VPN modul immediately apply this fix or update to SSL VPN 2.2.1 or newer.

Open the HTML page within the sslvpn web archive WAR file which loads the SSL-VPN applet. By default, the applet is embedded in the file sample.html located in the root of the sslvpn.war. If you run the SSL VPN module on Airlock, you will find the file under:

# zlogin mgt (only up to version 4.1-10.xx)
# cd /opt/slt/ses/AuthApp/tomcat/webapps/sslvpn/

Open the file with vi editor:
# vi sample.html

Search for: <param name="refresh" value="0"> and insert the following lines after it: <!-- Fix for Clients with Java Runtime Version 1.6_10.b33 or higher -->
<param name="legacy_lifecycle" value="true>
Now, the end of the file should look like this:

...
-->
<param name="refresh" value="0">
<!-- Fix for Clients with Java Runtime Version 1.6_10.b33 or higher -->
<param name="legacy_lifecycle" value="true">

</applet>
</p>
</body></html>

The newest SSL VPN 2.2.1 includes this fix.
